This year’s musical, Legally Blonde, is set to premiere January 31, February 1 and February 2 in the Lamar auditorium at 7 pm. Admission will be $7 for students and $12 for adults.
Rehearsals started in late November and the cast has been working non-stop since then. The leads include senior Ryan Long as Warner, senior Karalyn Haugen as Elle Woods, junior Danny Bass as Emmett, junior Chloe Rand as Pilar, junior Danielle Broyles as Margot, and sophomore Avery Fox as Serena.
“Legally Blonde is such a fun show that we have all worked so hard on! Even if you haven’t seen the movie, you’ll have a blast with this musical because the music is so much fun, the characters are hilarious, and the story is incredibly touching” said Ryan Long.
The musical follows a theme of learning to not judge outward appearance and never underestimate what one can do.
“Elle comes to Harvard and is instantly being judged for being preppy and blonde. But she works hard and eventually becomes valedictorian of her class” said Danielle Broyles.
Many students are looking forward to the upcoming production, and with all the effort put into it, it’s sure to wow viewers as much as the original.
